If you haven’t been here before this book was amazing to read. In post one the dam closed down and everyone was bomb-rushing the grocery store to get water and as much of it as they could. And this played a big part throughout the book and different things happened due to this. three main characters Garrett, Alyssa, and Kelton, and the author throws more in later in the book and they are Jaqcui and Henry.
Henry separates from the group near the end of the book and Jaqcui is taken by some man with Tattoos.
Jacqui gives the gun to Henry because it is giving her a rash on her waist, but why would she give it to Henry the one who tried and betrayed the group and tried leaving them behind? They were gonna go to a reservoir because they had the water they needed. Alyssa had gotten sick throughout the time in the book and it has gotten worse. Kelton shot someone right between the mouth and the nose.
If you haven’t been here before here’s a quick recap on what happened first section a dam got shut down, and everyone went crazy. blog 2 was so interesting. blog 3 was wild but too much happened in that for me to explain here. there are 3 main characters and they add onto a 4th and a 5th, Alyssa, Garett, Kelton, Henry, and Jacqui. All these characters are different from one another.
This section isn’t so good as it is going off as the last section they were at this military base “AKA A School” and yeah they saw some body bags and whatnot but they left. and they are just driving now.
and Henry this delinquent is trying to get them to drink the aquivina The worst water that they have because it makes people sick he’s trying to take advantage of them and he is so stupid cause he was beaten up by Kelton.

Post 2 wasn’t as good the book slowed down but then in Post 3 there was a fight and the dad shot the son, sorry I forgot to tell you this there are 4 characters now, Alyssa, Garrett, and Kelton the three main characters, And there is now Jacqui, and Henry. In post 4 they went to get away from the “WATER ZOMBIES” These are the people who are very very dehydrated and want some water.
And something else that was very important in the book was that they went to this thing and it was called an “Evac center” and this where people would stay if they were sick or dehydrated and the military was in control of this place. And my question of this place is why would you keep people that are sick all together by healthy people like the military and now all 4 characters?
Henry is dumb enough he goes out to explore for some reason all by himself and JUST WHY THIS KID IS GONNA GET HIMSELF KILLED. then he goes next to a pool and YOU won’t believe what IS THERE BODY BAGS. OMG right, and my question is do they kill the people that get really sick or do they just let them suffer and die from sickness or dehydration?
If you haven’t been here in a while here’s what happened. The damn closed aka a Tap Out and Everyone went crazy. And in part 2 it wasn’t as crazy as the first one but it isn’t really important. In part three there WAS A gun involved but wait there was a new Character Jacqui, and there is three main characters Garret, Alyssa, and Kelton.
Here’s what happened in the fourth part of the book. They headed back to the house and they were worried they were followed by a mob of thirsty people who were sick and Alyssa and Garret’s older brother were supposed to be with them for when they left. And they were watching the Mob of people and there was rattling at the door and they thought someone was gonna break in so her dad loaded all the guns just in case it got crazy so when the door opened he shot HIS SON. And I was like woah because the end of part three got boring at the end.
And after all this happened there was somebody that Kelton didn’t like and he almost shot someone AGAIN so Alyssa Smacked him with a metal picture frame knocking him out. And I thought this was pretty crazy cause Kelton wasn’t a person of Violence he was more of a geek/nerd.
They took a BMW to Alyssa’s uncle’s house who was in the first part after his Farm was shut down he moved in with his ex-wife. LIKE why would you do that? And they had water and stuff but it was bad water that can get you sick and they were sick. And he traded his truck for the water and this kid’s Name is Henry which was weird because the book brought him up earlier in the book out of the blue. And he’s got all this stuff from trading this water that can get people sick and they knock on the door he answers and he pulls a gun out and KELTON DISLOCATES this man’s Arm.

The first part of the book was wild the dam shut down which was their drinking water and everyone was freaking out and whatnot. there are 3 main characters Alyssa, Garret, and Kelton. All of these characters are teenagers and they have their disagreements. And Garret her brother went over to someone’s house Aka his friend’s house and it was trashed they had a fish tank that was 100 gallons and the house was just soaked.
Kelton, Garrett, and Alyssa went to the beach because they had this water thing that filters the ocean water, and I thought this was pretty stupid because it was surrounded by authorities of course, they got caught, and they were told to leave of course.
And they leave this beach and they see these teenage delinquents and they just sit there watching these kids beat up this man over water, Gotta do what you gotta do I guess. But then Alyssa steps in. My question is why would she step in. and the guy grabs her by the arm and squeezes her really hard. And Kelton sees this and somehow this man has a gun and this kid is shivering due to adrenalin and he doesn’t pull the trigger he gets pushed down. The gun goes flying and these guys are trying to get this gun but some girl grabs it and threatens the kid he puts the gun between the kid’s eyes and THE TABLES HAVE TURNED.
This girl’s name was Jacqui WHAT A RANDOM NAME but apparently she was watching this whole thing go down and she wanted the keys to the car and water but she’s nice to the kids and takes the kids home.

The dam closed down and everyone was freaking out about what they were gonna do about supplies and they didn’t have running water. They have 3 main characters Alyssa, Kelton (Neighbor), and Garett (her brother). And she really hates this kid Kelton cause he thinks he knows everything. While everyone is freaking out they had a brilliant idea to go get supplies at the grocery store and so they did that but little did they know it was getting cleaned out by everyone.
And here is what happened in the second section of the book it wasn’t all too interesting in the beginning of the section she lost all the water from the ice in the bathtub because her brother was so dumb that he accidentally put chemicals in the bathtub (Hahahaha).
Something else that happened is that he thought his parents were gonna be really mad at him and thought they were gonna beat him because they were already mad enough at the dam going down. While he thinks this he runs away to go over to his friends’ house like running away without telling anyone so he takes his bike and dips.
And his sister is freaking out and she told her parents and they go look for him but went separate ways she doesn’t have a bike so she goes to Kelton’s house and asked to borrow a bike, and he says yes but he has to come with so she says alright (She was worried). And they keep looking and looking and they find him.
They find him and they walk into this house (which is Garetts friends house). And it stinks and they both think that someone died in here. Everything is wet and they step on a dead goldfish and this house a big fish tank and someone broke it and water poured out of this fish tank so that is why it was so wet. Why do these characters start to act differently once something goes down instead of being calm and collected?
The book that I am reading is called Dry by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman. However, I chose this book because it’s like a warzone neighbors fighting for supplies to survive and I like books that are like fighting for survival but not Adrift by John Callahan because it’s he is doing the same thing over and over again. I am not reading with anyone anymore because we couldn’t find another book and if we did it was taken. Something I am looking forward to in this project is reading a different style book than any other books that I have read and a different Genre. Something I am Apprehensive about in this book is that I’m not gonna finish it because it’s a pretty long book and, that it’s gonna be really slow and I’m gonna lose interest in and then Im gonna lose it. Something I am going to ensure my success is that I’m going to read in advisory so I can reach that mark and make my teacher really happy.
Jealousy- Abigail is Jealous of Goody proctor because she is Proctors wife, that with the affair between proctor and Abigail and on page 22 Abigail says, “Give me a word John. A soft word” and this ties back to the Affair between the both. And Abigail is jealous and she says that on page 23 “Oh, I marvel how such a strong man may let such a sickely wife be–“
Fear- Proctor has fear when Hale goes to proctors house and brings a warrent because his wife was accused of being a witch and proctor says “There be now love for satin in this house” Page 67. and he was scared because hale went to there house because Goody proctor was accused of being a witch.
Love- Proctor says he loves His wife and that he may blush for something he did wrong and that it won’t happen again. And hes fighting for the love Goody proctor on page 62-63.
disgusted- John is disgusted with Abigail because she wants to get rid of goody proctor and she wants to kill her and Proctor doesnt like that she brings uo his wifes name and he keeps screaming at her and they just keep going back and forth on page 22.
No, it didn’t change the audience because it was way back then and nothing in history can change so they can view it however they wanted to but it wouldn’t change anything. Another reason why the audience didn’t change is because they could’ve felt bad about what happened and viewed the different people as good or bad. Something that they could’ve changed to affect the audience was doing something out of the ordinary to get the audience’s attention because, everybody likes when people do something out of the ordinary
The story about Bartolome De Las Casa showed many different Cultural encounters, and it showed many Injustices and Moods of relationships. And they treated the Native Americans poorly by making them like servants and they wouldn’t feed them or give them water. They made them do things that could revolve around Life or death. One of the things that they made the Native Americans do was go down to the ocean floor and grab pearls and this was a horrible thing because they could’ve died, and most of them did, And they would get beat.
